OPL Art Gallery
Natashia Goertzen's interest in photograpy began in her childhood when her dad let her try out his camera. It was love at first click and whenever Natashia got her hands on a camera, she snapped away.
She got her first digital camera about eight years ago, rekindling her interest in photography. After purchasing her dream camera (Canon 6OD) recently, she never looked back. Natashia loves finding things that people would not normally see or take time to look at, then showing it to them. She enjoys catching "little moments" where people can create their own stories.
Natashia moved to the Onoway area a few years ago with her husband and four children. She is a stay-at-home mom and at present, photography is a hobby but she hopes will become more than a hobby. You can see more of Natashia's photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/natashiasphotography/
FortisAlberta Power Monitors
Onoway Public Library has a new gadget thanks to Yellowhead Regional Library and FortisAlberta we were the recipient of a power monitor donated by FortisAlberta. Power monitors are small
devices that measure and display the electrical usage of household appliances as well as the cost of running the appliance. By determining where they are using the most electricity, Fortis customers can make informed decisions on how to best reduce their consumption.
These power monitors can be borrowered from the library with your current library card.
